Binga's Has Moved, Grown and Diversified, and Through It All Our Amazing Customers Have Always Followed. It All Started in 2004. We Opened the First Binga's On Wharf Street in Portland and Brought the Great Winga™ To Maine. Just A Year Later, We Outgrew Our First Location, and Chose To Expand the Size of the Business. We Also Expanded the Menu Beyond the Winga, Showcasing Many of Our Now-Classic Sandwiches. Three Years Later, Business Was Booming and We Were Planning A New Location in Yarmouth To Branch-Out and Have Plenty of Space To Make Our Sauces. and Then Tragedy Struck. Binga’s Burned. It Was the Fire of 2008 and Our Congress Street Location Was Destroyed. There Was No Binga's. Our World Stopped. But We Didn't Give Up. the Construction of the Yarmouth Location Went Into Overdrive, and We Opened There in the Spring of 2009. But Portland? Our Roots? What Were We Going To Do? Enter the Stadium, Which Had Also Opened Back in 2004. It Began As A Conversation Between A Few Friends About the Need for A Real Sports Bar in Maine. Not Some Little Tiny Thing With A Few Tvs Tacked To the Wall, But A Legitimate Mega-Sports Bar That You Find in Cities Like Boston and New York. People Said That Portland Was Too Small, That There Weren't Enough True Sports Fans Here To Make It Happen. the Naysayers Were Wrong. the Stadium Bet On the Portland Sports Fans, and Those Fans Have Been Coming To the Stadium by the Thousands Ever Since. After the Binga's Fire, the Stadium Held A Benefit for Our Out-Of-Work Employees. and It Was Then That Something Clicked. the Owners Realized That Joining Forces Would Be Powerful, So the Stadium Gave Binga's A New Portland Home in October of 2009. Turns Out, Adding Maine's Best Wingas and Bbq Joint To the Most Incredible Sports Bar Was A Terrific Idea. It's Been A Few Years and We Haven't Looked Back. From Our Hole-In-The Wall On Wharf Street, To Our Yarmouth Restaurant and Sauce Production Facility, To Our Portland Sports Bar and Smokehouse, We’ve Been Fortunate To Create Thriving Businesses With an Amazingly Loyal Clientele.
